Legal notice

This page carries the information that the provider of an online service has to publish under Article 10.1 of Spanish Law 34/2002 (LSSI) and Article 97 of the Spanish consumer act (Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, TRLGDCU).

Who operates this service

We do not run a call centre. Email and post are the two channels we keep, and both reach a person: write in English or Spanish to hello@getixtranslate.com, or to the postal address above. We answer a consumer complaint within 15 days through the same channel you used, and sooner where we can.

What we do

Getix Translate is an information society service: a subscription application that provides real time meeting translation, live subtitles, voice-over and transcription. It is sold to consumers and to businesses across the European Union and beyond. The full terms of the contract are in our Terms of Service, which you can save and print, and how we handle personal data is in the Privacy Policy.

Para consumidores en España: la información precontractual exigida por el artículo 60 del texto refundido de la Ley General para la Defensa de los Consumidores y Usuarios está disponible en castellano en Información precontractual (castellano).

Registration and professional details

A sole trader established in Spain is not entered in the Commercial Register (Registro Mercantil), which is why no register entry or company number is given above. The activity is registered with the Spanish Tax Agency (Agencia Estatal de Administración Tributaria) by census declaration and with the special social security scheme for self-employed workers (RETA). The activity is not a regulated profession and needs no professional licence or authorisation. Prices shown on our site include VAT where VAT applies; the amount is stated before you pay and on every invoice.

Applicable law and consumer matters

These services are governed by Spanish law and by the law of the European Union. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country. Supervision of consumer matters in our case falls to the consumer authorities of the Generalitat Valenciana and to the consumer information offices (OMIC) of your municipality, and, for information society services, to the competent Spanish authority under the LSSI.

Complaints come first to us. You can send one in English or Spanish to hello@getixtranslate.com, we give you a reference and we answer within 15 days, as Article 21.3 TRLGDCU requires. How that works, and how to report illegal content, is on our complaints page. We are not currently a member of any out-of-court dispute resolution scheme, so if a complaint stays unresolved you may go to the consumer authorities named above or to the courts. The European online dispute resolution platform stopped taking complaints in 2025 and no longer exists, so there is no link to it here.

Right of withdrawal and model withdrawal form

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have 14 days to withdraw from your contract without giving a reason. The conditions, the time limit, what happens when you ask us to start straight away, and how we refund are set out in section 4 of the Terms of Service. You do not have to use any particular wording: any unequivocal statement is enough. If you prefer a ready-made one, copy the form below and send it to hello@getixtranslate.com. We confirm receipt without delay and refund within 14 days using the same means of payment you used.

Contact point for authorities

Authorities and users can reach us at hello@getixtranslate.com, in English or Spanish. This is also our single point of contact under Articles 11 and 12 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (the Digital Services Act). See the complaints page for what to include in a notice.
