Getix Translate for clinics: Q&A
What is Getix Translate for clinics?
An AI translator for the everyday talk of a private clinic: live captions in each person’s language between your team and your patients, at the front desk, face to face in the consulting room, and in video consultations on Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams. 60 languages, up to five at once depending on the plan. Run from Valencia, Spain, under the GDPR, the EU data protection law: accounts and transcripts are stored in the EU.
Is Getix Translate a substitute for a certified interpreter?
No. It helps your team and your patients follow the conversation. It does not give medical advice and is not designed for diagnosis or treatment decisions. For consent, diagnosis, bad news and doses, use a qualified interpreter or a checked written translation. It is not a substitute for a certified or sworn interpreter where one is required.
Does it work for video consultations on Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams?
Yes. Send the Getix Translate bot to the consultation and it joins under its own name, listed with the participants, and you admit it like any guest. Your patient opens the captions link and reads in their own language. Regular phone calls are not translated.
Where do our patients’ conversations go?
To our speech providers, to become text and translation. It does not go to a human, and we do not train AI models on your meetings. What kinds of providers we use, which region they run in and how long anything is kept is on our privacy page.
Do our patients need an app or an account?
No. Your patient reads on your phone, with their half of the screen turned toward them, or on their own phone through a link you send or show. No account, nothing to install, and they can make the text bigger with A+. Turn on “New link each meeting” so a link from an earlier visit never opens the next one.
How well does it handle medical terms?
Well enough to follow a visit, not well enough to sign a consent form on. Drug names, numbers and rare languages are where AI slips, which is why the original always stays on screen next to the translation. Switch on the Medical term pack (key terms in Spanish, English, Russian and Ukrainian) and add your clinic’s own glossary, so the AI catches your words. Where a certified or sworn interpreter is required, it is not a substitute.
How much does it cost, and how does the free trial week work?
Plans run from €13.99 a month (Intern, 2 hours of live translation a month) to €169.99 (Boss, 45 hours a month for you and 5 team members). All prices include VAT. For a clinic team, request your business price with the form on this page: a person replies and agrees the conditions and the usage limit of your free trial week. No card.
