01 For group and event calls

Send a bot to calls with organisers abroad

For weddings, conferences and group stays planned from abroad. The bot joins your Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams call under its own name, and you admit it like any guest. The organiser and everyone else on the call open the captions link and read in their own language, in a small window on top of the call. The bot brings the speakers’ names with it.

  • Want to hear the organiser instead of reading? Mute the call on your side, switch on the AI voice (availability may vary), and listen to the translation.
  • Transcribed as it happens, so you can go back to every detail you agreed.
  • The organiser needs no account or install, and sees the bot in the participant list.

02 For the front desk and concierge

At reception, face to face

Lay one phone flat on the counter when guests check in, ask to check out late or want a table for dinner. The screen splits in two, and the guest’s half turns toward them. The rest of the family can follow on their own phones by link. Switch on the AI voice and it reads the translation out loud: you speak, it says it in their language; they answer, it says it in yours.

Turn by turn on one phone, for housekeeping, the pool bar or the airport shuttle: hold Me to speak, hold Them & around when the guest answers. Guests share names, plans and room numbers at the desk, so you keep the controls. Machines turn speech into text. There is no human interpreter in the loop. You decide whether a transcript is kept, and for how long. Recommendations and limits.

Here is where it shines in a hotel, and where it needs a little help from you. We would rather you know before your first guest.

The hotel’s Wi-Fi

At reception and in the meeting rooms. The translation is a continuous stream, so it lives on a steady line.

A quiet end of the counter

Lay the phone between you and the guest, away from the lobby speakers. The better the sound in, the better the words out.

One speaker at a time

You, the guest, then their partner, with a short pause between you. On a phone, let the AI voice finish before you answer.

Mobile data by the pool

By the pool, in the garden or on a transfer, 4G or 5G can stutter: captions may pause and catch up. Use Pocket Translate there: it is built for the phone and picks up again after short dropouts.

Busy lobbies and bars

A coach group arriving, suitcases rolling, music at the bar: fewer words get through. Move the phone closer.

Phone calls stay as they are

Regular phone calls to reception are not translated. For a guest or an organiser abroad, move the talk to a video call and send the bot.

What is Getix Translate for hotels?

Do our guests need an app or an account?

No. Your guest reads on your phone, with their half of the screen turned toward them, or on their own phone through a link you send or show. No account, nothing to install, and they can make the text bigger with A+.

Does it work for calls with organisers on Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams?

Yes. Send the Getix Translate bot to the call and it joins under its own name, listed with the participants, and you admit it like any guest. The organiser opens the captions link and reads in their own language. Regular phone calls are not translated.

Where do our guests’ conversations go?

To our speech providers, to become text and translation. It does not go to a human, and we do not train AI models on your meetings. What kinds of providers we use, which region they run in and how long anything is kept is on our privacy page.

How well does it handle names, rooms and times?

Well enough to run the desk on. Names, numbers and times are where AI slips, which is why the original always stays on screen next to the translation. Load your own glossary (room types, the names of your restaurant and spa treatments, your team) and the AI catches your words.

Is Getix Translate a substitute for a certified interpreter?

No. It helps your team and your guests follow the conversation. It is not a substitute for a certified or sworn interpreter where one is required.

How much does it cost, and how does the free trial week work?

Plans run from €13.99 a month (Intern, 2 hours of live translation a month) to €169.99 (Boss, 45 hours a month for you and 5 team members). All prices include VAT.
