Three modes of live translation for lectures.

Pick the one that fits the class: an online lecture, a classroom or a course video. Each person reads in their own language, on their own screen.

01 For online classes

Send a bot to your online lecture or class

For online lectures, seminars and language classes. The bot joins your class on Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams under its own name, and the teacher admits it like any guest. Send the captions link to the class group chat: each classmate reads in their own language, in a small window on top of the call.

  • Want to hear it instead? Mute the class on your side, switch on the AI voice (availability may vary), and listen to the translation in your earbuds.
  • The class is transcribed as it happens, so you can go back to what was said.
  • Classmates need no account or install, and the bot is visible in the participant list.
How your classmates see it.Send one link to the class group chat. Each classmate opens it on a phone or laptop, picks their language or the lecture’s own, and the captions follow. No account, nothing to install. Start with 5 free minutes
02 For classrooms and lecture halls

In class, on every phone

Put a laptop or a phone near the teacher, and one person hosts live translation for the whole classroom. Each student follows live subtitles on their own phone by link, in their own language or in the lecture’s. In a small group at a table, switch on the AI voice: you speak, it says it in their language; they answer, it says it in yours.

Outside class: Pocket Translate

Turn by turn on one phone, at the international office or with your landlord: hold Me to speak, hold Them & around when they answer. The translation appears on screen; the AI voice can read it out loud, depending on the plan. Up to five minutes in one go (you set the limit). On every plan.

  • Each student reads one language; the host sees them all.
  • The lecture is transcribed as it happens, so you can go back to what was said.
  • AI voice in selected languages, depending on the plan; availability may vary.

03 On a laptop or desktop computer

On this screen: online lectures and course videos

Pick a tab or a window: an online lecture you attend, a seminar, a course video from your university. Captions and a transcript for yourself, in your own window, in your language. Handy when the history lecture is in Spanish and you want every detail.

  • Captions open in your own window. You decide who else gets the link.
  • Works with the tab or window you share, on a laptop or desktop computer.
  • Transcribed as it happens, so you can go back to what was said. Or not saved at all: your choice.
  • Use it with meetings you take part in and content you have the right to access. Some places require everyone’s consent.

What comes with every lecture.

The captions are the start. These are the pieces a long lecture needs.

Walk out with the notes

A transcript in both languages, saved line by line while the lecture runs, so a closed tab loses nothing. Download it to go over the lecture again, and keep it for your own study.

Auto-delete on your terms

Keep transcripts for as long as you like (Director and Boss), auto-delete them after 30 days, or switch saving off so no transcript is kept.

Pop-up window

Captions in a small window that stays on top of your online class, the slides, or anything else.

Guest links

One link in the class group chat. Each classmate reads in their own language, no account, nothing to install.

Teach it your course words

Load the professor’s name, places and the key terms of the course, so the AI catches them in every lecture.

AI voice

The translation read out loud in selected languages, in your earbuds; availability may vary.

Face to face

One phone between you and your tutor: the screen splits in two, and your tutor’s half turns toward them.

One pool of hours for the team

Several classes at the same time on bigger plans, and one balance for your teachers.

Safety & Security at Getix Translate.

A class carries your classmates’ voices and questions, so the host keeps the controls. Machines turn speech into text. There is no human interpreter in the loop. You decide whether a transcript is kept, and for how long. Run from Valencia, Spain, under the GDPR, the EU data protection law: accounts and transcripts are stored in the EU, and your data rights are explained in plain language on our privacy page.

Written down as it happens

Both languages, line by line, while the lecture runs. If you want it.

Transcripts on your terms

After 30 days, for as long as you like on Director and Boss, or not saved at all. Only the host’s account opens them.

No human listens in

Machines process the audio, and we do not train AI models on your meetings.

Security release, October 2026. Separate channels per meeting, session revocation, per-host permissions, bot protection at sign-up, and security checks before every release.
Signing up is light. Your email, a password and a one-time code to confirm the address. No card to add.

Pricing: you pay for meeting hours. Classmates join by link and pay nothing.

A minute of a lecture is a minute on the host’s plan, in two languages or five. Every plan starts with 5 free minutes, no card. Pick a plan after your first lecture, or ask for a school price below.

Recommendations and limits.

Here is where it shines in a lecture hall, and where it needs a little help from you. We would rather you know before your first lecture.

The campus Wi-Fi

In the lecture hall and at home. The translation is a continuous stream, so it lives on a steady line.

Close to the voice

Sit near the front, or let the teacher host from a laptop by the lectern. The better the sound in, the better the words out.

Ask your professor first

Many universities treat live captions and saved text like a recording. Ask before class.

Mobile data in a full hall

On 4G or 5G with a weak signal in a full hall, captions may pause and catch up. Put the device that listens on Wi-Fi; on the move, use Pocket Translate, built for the phone.

Big halls and far voices

A professor without a microphone, a noisy row, or a question from the back of the hall: fewer words get through. Move the device closer.

Minutes run during breaks

The session counts while it is live, silence included. On a long break, press Stop and start again after it. A new session starts on a clean screen, so save the text first.

Up to five languages at once, depending on the plan, covers most classes. Running a welcome day or a big lecture that needs more? We set it up for the event and agree the terms with you.

Getix Translate for students: Q&A

What is Getix Translate for students?

An AI translator for lectures and classes, for exchange and international students and the schools that teach them: live captions in your language in the lecture hall, in online classes on Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams, and on course videos on your screen. 60 languages, up to five at once depending on the plan. Run from Valencia, Spain, under the GDPR, the EU data protection law: accounts and transcripts are stored in the EU.

Can I use it in class?

Ask your professor first: many universities treat live captions, and any text you save, like a recording of the lecture. If you host, tell the room. Each reader can download the text in their language with Save, so keep it for your own study and don’t share or post it. Not for exams or graded work.

Does it work for online classes on Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams?

Yes. Send the Getix Translate bot to the class and it joins under its own name, listed with the participants, and the teacher admits it like any guest. Classmates open the captions link and read in their own language. For a lecture or a course video on your screen, pick its tab or window instead.

Does it help me learn the language?

Use it as a safety net. Read in the language of the lecture when you can, switch to yours when a part gets hard, and switch back with one tap on Change. If you host the session yourself, you see both languages side by side. That way you follow lectures in Spanish and keep learning.

How well does it follow a lecture?

Well enough to follow a lecture, not well enough to take dates and rules on trust. Names, numbers and new terms are where AI slips, so switch to the lecture’s language to check what matters, and ask the host to add the course terms to the glossary. For enrolment, grades and other formal decisions, get the answer in writing. It is not a substitute for a certified or sworn interpreter where one is required.

Where does my audio go?

To our speech providers, to become text and translation. It does not go to a human, and we do not train AI models on your meetings. What kinds of providers we use, which region they run in and how long anything is kept is on our privacy page.

How much does it cost, and can my school get a free trial week?

Plans run from €13.99 a month (Intern, 2 hours of live translation a month) to €169.99 (Boss, 45 hours a month for you and 5 team members). All prices include VAT. Every plan starts with 5 free minutes, no card, and only the host uses minutes, however many classmates read. Language schools and universities can ask for a price with the form on this page: a person agrees the conditions and the usage limit of the free trial week, and our Terms include a Data Processing Addendum (section 5).
